Andy Whitt announced the launch of Whitt's Web World: the first web design company to both create websites and to provide a unique method of actively promoting a client's website.

As Andy put it, "It isn't enough to design the best looking websites in the business and then hand the finished pages over to the client. Today a customer expects more than that especially the small business customer. I am  thinking of those thousands of B & Bs and car repair shops that haven't got the resources of a large IT department and at the same time don't want to be left behind in this highly competitive world."

The problem has always been that once your website has been created how do you let everyone know that you are now "web prepared"? Andy's solution is to provide a central directory within the  Whitt's Web World website and to use that to link to the various small businesses within the local area.

Andy is planning to provide solutions for all customers no matter what their web experience or their budget. For example, some clients might be satisfied with a simple listing on the Whitt's Web World site. This would be like a simple entry within a trade directory or newspaper and can be provided for about a pound a week.

For clients who want their own "full page spreads" they will receive a custom designed website plus a listing on the Whitt's Web World website for less than the cost of a half page in the local newspaper. And as Andy reminded me, the website will be working for the client 24 hours a day, every day of the year. When compared with  the newspaper ad it sounds like a bargain.
